Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, between 8am–8pm)
We’re recruiting confident, professional individuals to join our team as Anti-Social Behaviour Officers. This is a front-line, community-based role where you’ll be patrolling the borough, investigating complaints, gathering evidence and taking action to address anti-social behaviour.
You’ll work closely with residents, local partners and council teams to reduce ASB, improve public safety and support vulnerable members of the community.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, community engagement and making a visible difference in local neighbourhoods.
Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) works in partnership with Local Authorities across the UK to tackle anti-social behaviour and environmental crime. Using industry expertise, trained officers and modern technology, we deliver visible, fair and effective enforcement that helps create safer, stronger communities.
A typical shift will involve:
• Starting your day reviewing new complaints and planning patrol areas
• Patrolling streets and ASB hotspot locations across the borough
• Investigating reports of anti-social behaviour and gathering evidence
• Taking statements suitable for legal proceedings
• Engaging with residents, businesses and vulnerable individuals
• Working with partner agencies to resolve ongoing or complex issues
• Producing clear, accurate reports and maintaining detailed records
You’ll be out in the community for much of your shift, regularly engaging with members of the public. Confidence, professionalism and resilience are essential.
• At least 1 year’s experience in statement taking, community engagement or customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Calm, professional and resilient under pressure
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Investigative mindset and problem-solving ability
• Basic IT skills (report writing and case management systems)
• Experience working in partnership environments is desirable
• £14 per hour, full-time contract
• 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday between 8am–8pm
